If your child needs X-rays and they're big enough to sit in the chair alone, you'll step out for those. Parents sometimes push back on that, but it's standard protocol for radiation safety. Unless your kid is so little they have to sit on your lap, they handle X-rays on their own while you wait right outside the room.

They're not going to push orthodontics on you if you don't need it. If a referral makes sense, they'll say so. If it doesn't, they'll tell you that too.

How Do I Even Know If There's a Cavity?

Sometimes you can see white spots or dark areas, but not always. That's the whole point of regular visits. Dr. Ray and Dr. Hayley can spot early decay before it becomes something bigger. They focus on showing you how to help your kid brush at home, what to watch for, and how to actually prevent problems instead of just treating them.
