Silicon Beach Pediatric Dental serves Westchester families with pediatric dental specialists who trained exclusively in children’s care and know how to make early visits feel completely normal.
We’re in Culver City, close to LAX and easy to reach from Westchester. Plenty of parking, appointments that run on time, and we accept most PPO plans. We’ll walk you through your coverage before your child ever sits in the chair.
Pediatric dentists complete two to three additional years of training after dental school, focused entirely on children. We understand how to talk to toddlers, how to work with kids who are nervous, and how to spot the issues that only come up in developing teeth.
Primary teeth matter more than people think. They hold space for permanent teeth, affect how your child speaks and chews, and set the foundation for the dental habits they’ll carry into adulthood. We focus on prevention first so small issues don’t turn into bigger ones.
We don’t recommend treatment unless it’s actually needed. If there’s a simpler path, that’s what we take. We explain everything so your child understands what’s happening and feels part of the visit, not like a patient.

Dr. Ray Klein and Dr. Hayley Botwin both completed their pediatric residency training at USC. Dr. Ray is board-certified in pediatric dentistry and also speaks fluent Spanish. Dr. Hayley is board-eligible and brings the same thoughtful, child-centered approach she was known for as a hygienist before finishing her residency.
Some kids are ready to go from the first visit. Others need a few trips before they’re comfortable, and that’s completely fine. We use calm explanations, patience, and positive reinforcement so each visit is a little easier than the one before.
The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends a first visit by age one or within six months of the first tooth coming in. Starting early builds good habits and gives us the chance to catch anything worth watching before it becomes a real problem.
The first appointment isn’t a deep cleaning. Dr. Ray or Dr. Hayley will count teeth, check how things are developing, and give you real guidance on brushing technique, bottles, and what to expect next. For very young kids, the whole exam often happens with your child sitting in your lap. Most visits are about 20 minutes.
