Accepting New Patients
Dr. Hayley Botwin brings a unique background to our team, and if you’ve been coming to our office for a few years, you might remember her working as a hygienist dating back to 2019.
Dr. Hayley Botwin was born and raised in Southern California. She jetted off to the east coast to earn her first Bachelor’s degree at Boston University. She spent years working as a Camp Director at a residential summer camp and enjoying her time working with children. Wanting to continue her education, Dr. Hayley Botwin returned home to earn a second Bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene at USC before pursuing her dental degree and later completing her Pediatric dental residency.
We focus heavily on teaching you the right techniques for cleaning those tiny teeth and helping you understand what’s normal as new teeth come in.
Your child’s first visit is really about you as much as it is about them. We’ll show you what to look for at home, answer all those questions you’ve been Googling at midnight, and help your toddler get comfortable with our team.
When we met Dr. Hayley Botwin in 2019, she was working here as a hygienist while attending dental school at USC. Parents specifically requested appointments on her days because of her care for our patients.
After graduating from USC Dental School in 2023, Dr. Hayley Botwin completed the prestigious USC Pediatric residency program, focusing exclusively on children’s dental needs.
Dr. Hayley Botwin’s years working with children taught her how to adjust to children’s different personalities and temperament styles. Some kids want to jump right in and explore everything, while others need time to observe before they’re ready to participate. She never rushes a child who needs more time to feel comfortable.
Dr. Hayley Botwin worked here before becoming a dentist. She already knows our families and understands the culture we’ve built. She shares our philosophy of prevention over treatment and takes the same minimally invasive approach we’re known for.
When treatment is needed, she explains everything clearly and helps you make decisions based on what’s best for your child. Recommendations she makes focus on your child’s long-term oral health.
Her USC pediatric residency training equipped her with advanced techniques, and she uses them thoughtfully. She understands subtle approaches often work better with young children, and patience typically leads to better outcomes than rushing.
Dr. Hayley Botwin knows you probably have questions about bottles, thumb-sucking, or when to start flossing. She provides clear answers based on your child’s age and development.
Dr. Hayley Botwin values parent education because confident parents can help their children adopt healthy oral health habits.
We’re thrilled to welcome Dr. Hayley Botwin as a permanent member of our team. As Dr. Ray Klein explained, “We’re so happy having someone join our team who understands our conservative style and provides the same level of love and care we work hard to provide.” For families who remember her from before, you’ll notice she still brings the same attention to detail and warmth. For those meeting her for the first time, you’ll quickly understand why parents requested her specifically when she worked here as a hygienist.
Both Dr. Hayley Botwin and Dr. Ray Klein have years of experience working with children. We’re in-network with most PPO plans, making quality pediatric dental care accessible for your family. Outside the office, Dr. Hayley serves on the board of the Southern California Society of Dentistry for Children. Every February during Children’s Dental Health Month, she visits local schools to do presentations for kids — because she believes good habits start long before the dental chair. She and the practice sponsor community events like the Boostat Halloween carnival and regularly turn up at local farmers markets. Before joining Silicon Beach Pediatric Dental, Dr. Hayley completed international volunteer work in Thailand, Panama, and Mexico with organizations including Ayuda International and Dental Care for Kids in Mexico — bringing dental care to communities that don’t otherwise have access to it. That kind of background isn’t something you learn in a classroom.
