The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends children see a dentist by their first birthday or within six months of their first tooth coming in. We know that catches a lot of parents off guard. But early visits aren't about drilling or cleaning. They're about getting your child used to us, checking that teeth are coming in the way they should, and making sure you know what to look for at home.

That first appointment is low-key. Your child can sit in your lap the whole time. We count teeth, take a look around, and have a real conversation about what's going on at home. How are they doing with brushing? Do they still use a bottle before bed? What do snacks look like throughout the day? How We Approach Treatment

We don't push treatments. If something can wait, we'll tell you. If something can be handled with a change at home, that's where we start. Dr. Ray completed his pediatric training at USC and Miller Children's Hospital and is board-certified. Dr. Hayley completed USC's pediatric residency program before joining our practice. Both of them would rather send you home with a plan than schedule you for something you don't need.

We know every child is different. Some toddlers walk in curious and ready to cooperate. Others need to warm up, and that's completely fine. We work with your child's personality, not against it. There's no pressure, no rush, and no judgment if things don't go perfectly the first time. Dr. Ray speaks fluent Spanish as well, so families who are more comfortable having this conversation in Spanish are just as welcome here.

For services, we handle routine cleanings, exams, fluoride treatments, silver diamine fluoride for very young kids with early cavities, and early orthodontic monitoring. When a filling is needed, we use tooth-colored materials and move at your child's pace. Kids leave with a prize at the end of every visit, and most of them are already asking when they can come back.

We're in-network with most PPO plans, including Delta, Aetna, Cigna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, MetLife, United Healthcare, and many others. We don't take HMO, DMO, or EPO plans.
