Pediatric Dentistry in Culver City, CA

Check out when Blippi came to see Dr. Ray at Silicon Beach Pediatric Dental!

Expert Pediatric Dental Care

Your child deserves dental care that feels more like a fun visit than a medical appointment. At Silicon Beach Pediatric Dental, we focus on what matters most to parents: making sure your little one feels comfortable, safe, and learns to love coming to the dentist!

The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends that every child establish a dental home by their first birthday — ideally within six months of their first tooth coming in. That might sound early, but it’s not. Those first visits aren’t about drilling and filling. They’re about getting your child comfortable, catching anything unusual before it becomes a problem, and giving you the information you need to set good habits from the start. At Silicon Beach Pediatric Dental, we see infants, toddlers, and kids of all ages. Starting early just means we get to know your child — and your family — before anything goes wrong.

Meet Our Team

Dr. Ray Klein and Dr. Hayley Botwin know that choosing the right pediatric dentist means finding someone who gets your child and gets you as a parent. Both doctors work with children of all ages, and our approach focuses on building positive relationships towards dental care that lasts a lifetime.

Dr. Ray Klein

Dr. Ray Klein is a board-certified pediatric dentist who took an interesting path to dentistry. He studied film at USC, worked in movie and TV production, then went back to dental school and completed two additional years of pediatric training at Miller Children’s Hospital. A board-certified pediatric dentist, his warm, funny personality puts both kids and parents at ease. When he’s not working, Dr. Ray Klein enjoys cooking with ingredients from farmers’ markets and exploring Peru with his family. He’s fluent in Spanish and loves watching kids’ movies, which he calls “research.”

Dr. Hayley Botwin

Dr. Hayley Botwin joined our practice after completing the prestigious USC Pediatric Residency program. If you’ve been coming here long enough, you might remember her working for us as a hygienist while finishing dental school. Parents loved her and often requested only to be scheduled on her days in the office. After graduating from USC Dental School in 2022, she specialized in pediatrics because she genuinely loves working with children. Dr. Hayley Botwin shares our commitment to conservative, minimally invasive treatment.

Everything Is Designed With Kids and Parents in Mind

When you visit our Culver City / Playa Vista office, you’ll notice everything is designed with kids and parents in mind. We give children all the time they need to feel comfortable, and never force treatments or create stressful situations. Our philosophy is prevention over treatment, which means we’ll teach you exactly what to do at home to keep those little teeth healthy. Because we help families establish great habits early on, the majority of our patients only come for regular checkups and leave without needing any treatments. Which is a big reason why they love coming to see us!

Our Pediatric Services

We focus on prevention and take a conservative approach to treatment. Here’s what we do:

Exams and Cleanings

Your child’s first visit is about introductions, not procedures. We’ll take a look at their teeth, talk about habits at home, and answer your questions. Your child sets the pace. If it’s your first time taking your little one to the dentist, this visit is mostly about helping you understand how to keep those little teeth healthy (even if they all haven’t grown in yet).

Digital X-Rays

Regular checkups help us catch problems before they become bigger issues. We gently clean your child’s teeth, check for cavities, and monitor your child’s growth and development. Most kids come every six months, though we might recommend sooner if there are habits or some areas we want to keep an eye on.

Fillings
A conservative option to stop cavities from getting worse in very young children who aren’t ready for traditional fillings. It’s quick and non-invasive. While it does leave a dark stain on the cavity, many parents prefer this over sedation or more invasive procedures for toddlers. If your child is too young to tolerate treatment, this may be an option to avoid sedation until they get a little older.
Sealants
We keep an eye on how teeth are coming in during regular visits. We take a conservative approach and recommend orthodontic intervention only when it’s truly necessary and age-appropriate.
Extractions
Knowledge is power! So let us teach you how to keep your child’s teeth healthy at home. We’ll talk about brushing, flossing, diet, bottles, and pacifiers in a practical, judgment-free way. Every child is different, every family is different – so we tailor our advice to your family.

Insurance & Financing Options

We accept most PPO insurance plans and are in-network with many major providers. We currently do not participate in HMO/DMO/EPO plans. Payment plans are available on request, and we offer a one-price cash fee for families without insurance.

Insurance plans we accept: Aetna, Ameritas, Anthem Blue Cross, Beam, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Blue Shield, Carrington, Cigna, Delta, Guardian (please call for details), Health Net, Humana, Lincoln Financial, MetLife, Principal, Sunlife/Assurant, The Standard, United Concordia, and United Healthcare.
